For more than 100 years, VanLandschoot & Sons has been pulling wild whitefish from the cold, clear waters of Lake Superior. Established in 1914, they are the oldest continuously operating commercial whitefish fishery on the lake — proof that tradition and sustainability can thrive together.

Their operations span Munising Bay and extend off the Keweenaw Peninsula near Copper Harbor, using trap net techniques for peak freshness and to reduce bycatch. Their deep respect for the lake shows up in the clean, delicate flavor of the whitefish that fills our tins.

Today, the fifth generation of VanLandschoots still rise before dawn to fish the same waters as their great-great-grandfather Philip, honoring his legacy in every catch.
